Last weekβs email was a bit heavy. I shared the harder side of running an online business. And I know many of you are feeling something similar in your own work. Feeling stuck, tired, like your time isnβt fully your own. So this week, I wanted to share the other side. Before that, here's a quick note from our sponsor today: Before I started blogging, I worked in a bank. And thereβs something I still remember clearly. I used to see corporate managers, many of them mothers, saying goodnight to their babies over FaceTime. From their desks. Late in the evening. Still at work. O_O Then battle traffic after a long day of work, too- how on earth did they do it?! And maybe your situation looks different. But the feeling might be similar. Being tied to a schedule. That stayed with me. Because I didnβt just want to earn money. I wanted more control over my time. Fast forward to today. I run an online business, specifically a blogging business. And itβs not perfect. But it gives me something I think a lot of people are actually looking for. Here are some real examples of how blogging has changed my life, and how it can change yours for the better. Hopefully, this can give you hope and inject some positivity in your day-to-day! (I love reading about happy stories; it makes me happy)
Once you've read the full email... Iβm curious: What would you do on a random Wednesdayβ¦ If your time were fully yours? Just hit reply and tell me. I read every response. A few years ago, there was a creator whose emails kept landing in my inbox, and I completely ignored them. He talked about solopreneurship, how to grow your income while staying small, without hiring a team. His whole thing is about trying not to scale too much, working, but not at the cost of freedom and flexibility. I'd occasionally open them every 2 months, but overall, I'd just delete them. I should have unsubscribed and saved us all time, but something about his emails... I dunno.......
I met a friend today for a walk. She said: βI still havenβt had time to set up a blogβ¦ but I really need to make extra money.β And honestlyβ¦ Thatβs where most people get stuck. Not because they donβt want it, but it feels like too much to start. So I said something simple. Donβt start a blog. Write a newsletter. You can set the blog up later. Your newsletters can become your blog posts. (yeah, did you know that? Please take a look at my blog; you can see all my newsletters automatically...
Dear Reader, Today, I am going to share some great financial decisions I've made, some intentional, some by accident, in the hope that it can help you improve your finances, too! When you look online about making good financial decisions, people always talk about: automating your savings investing early putting your money into the right assets the power of compound interest yada yada yadaaaaa And yes⦠those things matter, but the reality is⦠All that stuff can be quite boring and unrelatable,...
